Conclusion:  The Godhead is the Father and Christ Jesus, being one person.  The Father is the mind of God and Christ Jesus is the heart of God.  Christ Jesus is the bond-servant Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

“Great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, was vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory” (1 Timothy 3:16).  This mystery which has been kept secret for ages, but now is revealed through the writings of the prophets (Romans 16:25-26).  This is “Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:2-3).

An understanding of this mystery is necessary both for salvation (John 8:24) and that we may come to know him (Jeremiah 31:34).  God seeks those who will worship Him in spirit and truth, “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:23-24).  God has left clues throughout the scriptures that reveal His true nature.

God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness … God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:26-27).  As we consider how we were created, it necessary to look within ourselves as we attempt to understanding the meaning of being made in His image and likeness.

The heart of man is hard to understand, yet the heart is the key to understanding how we were made in His likeness.  We reason with our mind so we have some understanding of how it works, but not so with our heart (Hebrews 4:12).  There is a division between our mind and heart, where both have the ability to reason.  PascalBlaise Pascal (1623-1662) was a French
mathematician, physicist and philosopher.
realized this when he said, “The heart has its reasons which reason cannot know.”
